Bay Explorations

This year, Bay Explorations is continuing to offer free, docent-led tours of the Hikshari' Trail on the Eureka waterfront. Thanks to support from the California Coastal Conservancy, our staff and docents will lead bilingual tours in Spanish and English.

We will also be offering monthly boat tours of the bay aboard the Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation, and Conservation District's patrol boat. Stay tuned for kayak tours launching from the Hikshari' Trail boat launch at the mouth of Elk River.

Left: Pam and Ted Halstead enjoy a tour of Humboldt Bay.

You will enjoy learning about local history and ecology with our knowledgeable volunteer docents. These free tours are a great way to spend a morning with family or friends.
