Bay Tours

Humboldt Baykeeper’s Bay Tours program offers free, docent-led walking tours on the Eureka waterfront, as well as tours of the bay by motor boat, kayak, or canoe.

Since 2005, Humboldt Baykeeper has offered free bay tours for the general public. Over the years, more than 7,500 people have enjoyed our docent-led tours.

 

This year, our Bay Tours Program has restructured to focus on youth and ESL students, although we still offer kayak tours for the general public combined with Earth Day and Coastal Cleanup Day volunteer trash cleanups. We are hosting free, COVID-safe bird watching walks led by Amaya Bechler this summer and fall. An easy stroll, it's super fun and you'll learn stuff! Masks required - we'll provide them if you don't have your own. Humboldt Baykeeper offers free, docent-led tours of the bay by motorboat, kayak, or canoe for youth, elders, and everyone in between. This year we also offered tours for teens, kids aged 8 to 12 in the City of Eureka’s summer day camp, and students in English as a Second Language classes.
