Humboldt Baykeeper's Community Outreach engages people of all ages in understanding, enjoying, and preserving the health of Humboldt Bay. Our Bay Explorations program highlights the area's natural history. Our dedicated volunteers lead tours, monitor local streams, table at community events, clean up trash from local beaches and the Samoa Bridges, and watchdog everything that impacts the bay, from illegal dumping to development proposals. Join Humboldt Baykeeper at the 56th annual Trinidad Fish Festival on Sunday, June 16th. In an effort to reduce plastic trash in our coastal communities, Humboldt Baykeeper is partnering with the Trinidad Chamber of Commerce to offer a free, local water station. Let’s make single-use plastic water bottles a thing of the past!  Bring your own vessel for all you can drink, filtered water. Stop and say hi to friendly Baykeeper staff and volunteers, refill your reusable container and sign up for a free Humboldt Bay boat tour. The Fish Fest features a street fair with local food, crafts, beer, wine and music with activities in several locations around the town. The Fish Fest is located outside of the Town Hall in Trinidad and the event runs from 11am-4pm.
